DUH....forgetful Chow Mom
Since JR and Cheyenne couldn't get to Chowfest on time I took them up to the boat instead last night after the rains stopped.
At dusk we had a wonderful walk on the beach where they are not supposed to go...but they had already done their "thing" on dog friendly territory and the beach was empty...so they had fun.
Cheyenne saw her 1st high waves as she paddled through the sand...she seemed to think they were neat!
Where was Chow Moms camera....back at the boat...DUH!!!
Today we took them out on the lake for awhile and then anchored in a cove near the beach. Dad jumped in the water and then let JR jump in the 6 feet from the swim platform with Dad carefully monitoring him...no more free swim time for JR this summer after his mad swim dash across the boat channel last month. Anyhow as always, JR swam like a Chowfish to the beach with Alan and then he was a bit tired so Dad carried him back.
Then we put JR's life jacket on Cheyenne and Dad took her in....I think that her chow feathers got a bit ruffled...just like JR's did on his 1st swim 5 years ago...so Alan put his hands under her belly and let her glide along for 5 mins....just enough time for her 1st swim.
AND..............where was Chow Moms camera....it was right there on the boat with exhausted batteries and where were her back up rechargeable batteries....you guessed it...packed in her overnight bag....back in the car...DUH!!!
Oh well...they will go swimmimg again in that nice cove shortly...and Chow Mom won't forget anything again!
