I have a 2 month old Chow chow Named Brenda
she will be 3 months these April 11 2011, i am very concerned about her health and the way she eats
I've already tried Vitality / Beef Pro / Purina still none of them has catch her appetite as of now she's
using Royal Canin there's a quite improvement but still not satisfied i want to give my Pup the best just
to improve the way she eats .
-----> One thing i observed during the days I'm switching food brands she likes raw during that days she
wont eat other DOG food if there is no RAW mixed to it ..
What should i feed my PUP ? for her to be healthy .would i stay with RAW and RICE ?
because thats what she likes and is RAW AND RICE good for my PUP ? now I'm planning to buy her either Virac's Nutri plus
or Nutri pet by Troy don't know which of the two is the best??
---> I really need your feedback and insights with regards to this

HOPING FOR TO FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL MY QUESTIONS

Your puppy is born with natural instincts that are still not yet polluted by commercialism. There is no dog born that was created to eat commercial foods made by man. It is entirely something that WE have done to them to suit our own lifestyle.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your puppy eating raw meat, in fact they were born with the correct enzymes to digest it, whereas they were not born with enzymes to digest commercial processed foods.

If you want to stay with a raw menu, your chow will thank you for it. Just ensure to join a raw feed group so that you learn how to properly feed raw

Please don't mix raw meat with kibble or with other foods.
The reason again, being that you are actually making the food more difficult to digest becuase both types of food require different enzymes to digest, and kibble especially, is coated in a thick layer of rendered fat to make it taste good. The moment this rendered fat comes into contact with humidity, it starts to grow bacteria, so mixing the two together isn't a good idea. It would be like mixing your health food together with junk food.

I used to give my dog Royal Canin, but her fur was kind of dry (or whatever expersion is used to describe a coat that's not as it should be)... but some other chow owners I know are quite happy with it
depends on the dog I suppose
