Is your chow a Lion or a Bear?

Have you ever thought that your chows resembled other animals like lions and bears?

Well, Mia is my bear cub - curious and grouchy.
Chutters is my lion cub - proud and stately.

They resemble other opposite type animals too.
Mia is like a shark - constantly and nervously pacing and flashing around - looking for prey.
Chutters is my whale - he sort of lumbers about minding his own business fishing for krill.

Mia is my cat - feline and aloof.
Chutters is my dog - hunkers around for kibbles and bits.

Mia is such a girl - smart and aware
Chutters is my boy - dumb and clueless (sorry Chutters - I love you for it, I really do!)

Coco is like a bear, but more the teddy bear kind !

Yes, Princess Coco is much more like a teddy bear, I am sure.
Not, like my grouchy Mia bear, LOL!!

Lab in a chow costume, overly friendly and wanting everyone to pet her.

Lion but the cowardly one. She barks at a noise then runs to us.

Monkey the way she makes these little noises when she sees something like a chipmunk at the window.

Other than that she's just my little clown and sweetheart..

It just amazes me how much I love my babies. If I should ever become homeless - we would live in a box together. I would NEVER, EVER give them up. They are just so precious to me.

have you ever wondered how chow owners are so much more passionate about their breed?
Maybe that's because they are so many personalities in one.

I think Sweetie, my chow, looks like a lion, but has the heart of a teddy bear with the independence of a cat. Sometimes I look at her giving me that look that only a Chow could, and I just have to give her a big hug.

Max is lion and looks like a lion, same color and even prances just like a male lion does. Zeena, my black Chow is a black bear all the way. She looked just like a black bear cub when she was a puppy. And, she's got the heart of a bear too. She won't back down from anything and keeps her big brother in check. Max loves to mess with our stuff, he's like a mischievous little boy even though he's going on 3 and will grab something of ours just to get our attention but he also gets the attention of his little sister too and quickly puts him in his place.. Zeena, will nail him for grabbing our stuff and tell him not to do that. It's funny to watch these two, they are very entertaining. They're half brother and sister. She has become the matriarch even though she's younger. So, I got one lion and one black bear and wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING.

LOL@ fruit bat...yes, a very very cute one! Lily is my little lioness. She is always looking over her kingdom in that regal sort of way. Old Pip is my bear, she fairly lumbers wgen she walks. The only thing missing is the grunts.
