Last night we had to say good-bye to Chow Mein, she died just before midnight.
Here in the SF bayarea, about 10pm the skys were relatively clear and not too cold.
Chow Mein knew she was dying and decided to spend her last few hours outside looking to the sky and enjoying the fresh air.
She was in good spirits and waging her tail, but seem to have a difficult time getting up.
When I went to assist her back into the house, she died in my arms. :^(
She was 14 and lived a good life. We'll miss her.
The attached pict is from last Aug/Sept just after her post summer trim while eating a chick treat.
