Smokey was a handsome boy (though I was surprised he was not a blue with the name Smokey)! I'm sorry for your loss. It is always so hard on the children when a beloved pet passes. We don't endorse breeder's here, however, we support Chow rescue. I know you and your daughter's heart is set on a puppy, but think about checking out the Chows Needing a Home section. There is nothing more rewarding for our children then knowing the Chow they hug is only on the earth because their family saved them! We even get rescues through here that love the kitties.

I'm so sorry about Smokey. It is always so very hard to say good by. As Auddymay said, it's wonderful to get a chow that needs a home. There are so many out there - even puppies! What ever you decide, I wish you luck and peace. Godspeed, Smokey.

Sorry about your loss of Smokey, he was a handsome boy, and I wish you well in your search for a new chow, it will never replace Smokey but will give you lots of enjoyment.
