MILO BENEFIT DEC. 13th in San Francisco

Post by Jeff&Peks »

Milo isn't a Chow rescue but they are who I adopted Pekoe from.

Please SAVE THE DATE (Thursday Dec. 13th) for WAGS TO RICHES!
A haute couture doggy fashion show benefiting The Milo Foundation!

We are seeking donations for the silent auction. We need items with
broad appeal as well as services, meals, gift certificates,
wines . . . wonderful things to help raise much needed funds for the
critters!!

About the event:
Local San Francisco designers Erin Kelsey and Christian Schneider are
hosting a series of events to raise funds for animal rescue. The first
event will benefit the animals of Milo.

Erin is a SF based textile designer for Williams Sonoma, and fashion
graduate of Pratt Institute. Christian is a Sausalito-based filmmaker who
moonlights as a dogsuit designer, focusing on canine couture with an
eye toward functionality. His work is featured at dogstarclothing.com.
They are committed to combining their creative efforts to help dogs in
need.

What: Wags to Riches is a doggy fashion show, where the haute couture
dog suits will be modeled by some of our homeless dogs looking for new
homes and Milo adoptees that have found their forever homes.

Where: Bella and Daisy’s Dog Boutique, 1750 Union Street , San
Francisco, CA 94123.

Why: To help educate people about the importance of animal rescue, and
provide them with an opportunity to adopt Milo pets in need of good
homes!

Tickets are $20.00 and will include entrance to see a fashion show,
wine and food. There will also be a silent auction and raffle. There will
be two shows that evening--one at 7:30 p.m. and one at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. Due to limited space, your furry
friends are not allowed - however guests are invited to bring photographs
of their pets as there will be a sketch artist present creating custom
portraits.

Please let me know if you can help with a donation!?! Please plan on
attending! We'll have some great pups and dogs available for adoption
and my dogs are some of the fine models for the fashion show!

Email Alicia at amr@milofoundation.org if you have an item or gift
certificate or anything else to donate! If you can't come or donate
something but would like to help - please make a tax-deductible donation
on-line http://www.milofoundation.org/donate.cfm or please mail a check to:
MILO P.O. Box 6625 Albany, CA 94901

We really appreciate your interest and support - and come have some fun
on December 13th!

Thanks,
Lynne
