Well, Seymour is settling in just fine. I think he's house trained now...unless his dumb mom is just not very good at finding his hiding places. :?

He is sleeping on the floor beside my bed each night...he doesn't snore loud like Chandler...He loves his new toys...and is getting along well with the other dogs. Seymour and Hank, my 35 pound cockapoo, really seem to like each other...and play together very well.

Here are some photos.

I'm glad everything is going well with Seymour - I love the picture of him scratching. That face is priceless. Your Chandler was also priceless - "may he run free".

Hello again. It's been almost four months since I had to say good-bye to Chandler. I think about him everyday...and still miss him so much.

I took his ashes down off the fireplace mantle this past week and scattered them. Now, I think of him running free in the yard and in the park across the street.

Chandler was a good friend...and had a very kind soul.

Thinking of you Chandler. I hope that you and Lucy were able to meet up again. Happy Roaming...until I see you again.

Sandra, I'm so glad you posted, I've been wondering how you were. What a beautiful tribute to him to scatter his ashes in the places he loved.

How is Seymour doing? You're an inspiration for adopting him.

Seymour is doing just fine. Thanks for asking.

I think he really likes his freedom. I really don't think he's as old as they said he is. He does not act like he's 12 years old.

And, he kind of has a spoiled attitude. He always wants to go...always ready to jump in the car. The shelter volunteer said he spent most of his life in a small concrete floored cage with other dogs. I really think someone paid attention to him. He really likes people. However, he is very territorial when it comes to other dogs.

He's a real cutie...and I love having him around.
I needed him just as much as he needed a home.

I'm still on the site quite a bit. Always checking out the "memorials" and "the chows needing a home" sections.
This site was sure a life line for me after Chandler passed on. All of your kind words and understanding helped me so much.
