Another life saved!

Post by aweezy8 »

Hey all just found the site while searching for more information about chow-chows. Yesterday my girlfriend and I went to a rescue shelter and found the perfect chow for us. His names is Kona and these are the picture the rescue shelter used for their website where we found him. He is actually getting a bath and haircut at petsmart as im typing this. I will update the pictures when we get him home. I just cant get over the blue tounge!

Welcome to the site! He is gorgeous! I'm glad you found him.

My husband and I were just talking today about how when we see another breed, it's weird that the tongue is not blue! Kona sure has a great little tongue!

How old is he?

Hi and welcome. Pretty, boy. I also think pink tongues are weird now! They just don't look right anymore.

I tell you who else think pink tongues are weird! Milly and Mabel.
When they were about 8 months old, our daughter Rhiannon, who was living with us then, brought her standard schnauzer Hector home. He was only 6 weeks old but naturally, he has a pink tongue.
Schnauzers have bit mouths and big tongues  and he would stand laughing at them with his big pink tongues lolling out and they would go right up to him looking at it with the,

"Eeeeh! Pink tongue!!"

look on the faces. His tongue fascinated them.

He is such a handsome boy.

Is he your first Chow? They are really a unique, rather "strange"...in a wonderful way....breed.

Thanks for rescuing him and saving his life. Both my JR and Cheyenne are rescues!
