Pekoe's Cancer update, hopefully the last.

She's absolutely beautiful!
I think she looks wonderful. Never mind what people say. Besides that, even if her appearance was showing some evidence of the chemo, alive is beautiful! And alive with a good quality of life is even more beautiful!
Thanks for posting the picture. Best of luck for the upcoming test results!

I'm so happy for you Jeff, and if her muzzle is a little grey, her eyes are full of life and that's the important thing.
I'm reminded here of something the actress Helen Hayes once said about why she never had a face lift, she said that every wrinkle was a badge of honor for everything good or bad that had happened in her life.
Pekoe wears her badge with dignity and well she should.
Again I'm so happy that she's cancer free.

Oh Jeff, I'm so elated for you both. I didn't realize you nmoved to get the necessary care she needed, what a devoted father.
She is absolutely beautiful. She shows the royal highness smirk in ph#2. The things people say are so silly, a 15 years old boy asked me if Irish was a bear. I just kept walking as if I didn't hear it. Used to be years ago, people had maners, not it's just stupidity.. & these people vote. I was afraid to say I was from Georgia becasue everyone knows who Cynthia Mkinney is, well at least some smart people got out & voted yesterday because she lost. They must have been chow owners.

Jeff,
I know I am late in responding to this post (but you see I am trying to get caught up... LOL). I can't tell you how absolutely happy I am for both you and Pekoe. As you know, I went down that road with Sasha (altho a different form of cancer) and I know the alternative, and knowing Pekoe is that rare survivor just does my heart good. I just could not be any happier. Yes she has the spunk and the will to fight, but you were also there with her and for her through all of it, so this is your victory every bit as much as it is Pekoe's. I knew if it could be beat, HRH would be the one to beat it, and she has. Such wonderful news.
As far as Pekoe's graying because of the radiation goes, if it were me, I would just tell people, each gray hair has been earned, for every person that she has bitten for making STUPID remarks, one gray hair has come up. That ought to shut them up. I personally think she is beautiful.

Jeff...
PLEASE forgive me for not reading about Pekoe's xrays before I posted. I am so sorry. But after reading the other post, I have to agree, if the radiologist wasn't too overly concerned about it, then that's where I would leave it for now and just enjoy life with Pekoe. I have said it from the beginning of this and still stand firm in it, that I feel she will be fine. I would have that tech's neck in a noose tho. That was so uncalled for. I know how hard this is for you, since I have been there and done that, and to be brutally honest, there are no easy answers or easy way to go about it. But the very best advice I can give you from going through this with Sasha, is to enjoy life while Pekoe is there and healthy. The only regret I have from my experience with Sasha was that I didn't take advantage of the good days to the best of my ability. I was so constantly upset waiting for the bottom to drop out. Please don't make the same mistake. Enjoy the time that you have with Peks. Love her, play with her, do the same things the 2 of you have been doing for years. She obviously isn't acting sick and expects you to do the same things you've always done. And at this point, you don't actually know that she is still sick. Don't dwell on the bad unless you have to.. and at this point you don't have to. You have been given alot more time with Pekoe than alot of the medical community gave you hope for. Enjoy that time... Pekoe knows you need her.
