Martha Stewart's Chow wins best of breed at Westminster

Post by Sylvia »

Martha's chow, Ghenghis Khan, won best of breed at Westminster dog show today.

Westminster doesn't have the video for the Chow Chow judging online yet. But when I see it, I'll post it.

Here's the video from the Westminster site. You get a better view of the chows in this.

One of her Chows did, so she got another pup and gave him the same name. The dog in the video is the new pup, now 2 years old.

I would not want to be one of the judges...they are all so beautiful...I'd never make up my mind. Martha's boy is absolutely stunning.

I agree with Victory, how do you choose just one? It is nice to see that they all seem more open faced the past couple of years, definitely breeding more for health these days.

Not to knock Khan, because he was beautiful...but the one that had the lighter markings around his/her face that gave it more of an expressive look I was fond of. I've always found those ones to be extra cute because it's like their personality is more written on their face? I don't know how to explain it. They're neat looking to say the least lol.

was at a show in springfield, ma 2 weekends ago. The dog that won opposite was there...very nice dog. the handlers approached us when we were strutting Rory through (he's still too young to show). I liked the dog better.

Here's the video for the Non-Sporting group, where GK competed with the other non-sporting best of breed winners.
