A chowgirl brought her owner in to see me at work today!

Post by Piff Poff »

A chowgirl brought her owner in to see me at work today!

I work at Eddie Bauer here in Red Deer and today a lady came into the store with her service dog. She was a tiny chow girl, I didn't ask to pet her as I knew she was working (unfortunately the mall cops had hassled the owner). She was so well behaved, the owner was telling me about how she helps and how good she was at flying (she was really cross about being hassled).

Another thing, the lady came from the same area of the UK as me, she emigrated to Canada when she was a kid and her parents have sinece moved back. Small, small world.

Coolness. What's wrong with the mall cops? service dogs wear little vests that say, service dog on them. I think some education is in order.

Victory, there's definitely education in order. Many business owner's/security people don't care if it's a service animal or not, and they try to keep it out, which is illegal by law. But like I said, it's ignorance, is all it really is.

In all fairness, this service chow only had a vest/harness on, nothing that said she was a service dog. The owner told the mall cop she was a service dog but the mall cop carried on hassling her, not for the first time. The owner complained to the mall so hopefully she won't get hassled again.

It's great to hear this! It is a small world, isn't it??

Remember this, and also be persuaded of its truth - the future is not in the hands of fate, but in ourselves.
