A new Great-grandchild expected
Fred and I are delighted to say that our second granddaughter Jessica is expecting a baby , due the middle of October, 17th I think.
Jessica is Louise's younger sister and baby Connor's aunty so Connor will have a baby cousin.
She and Steve are delighted and Jess had a scan the other day. It is wonderful to see these pictures. They were not available when I had my babies. When she has her next scan they might be able to tell whether it is a boy or a girl. Jess and Steve have decided that they want to know.

I am doing.
I am making a cross-stitch Afghan cot cover like the one I made for Louise. This one has bunnies on though rather than teddies.

Congrats Judy and Fred
Iam sure the teddies and bunnies are adorable, but I thought for sure it would be baby chows stitched on it. LOL... What a good grand and great grandmom you are.. (and so proud too). Have fun stitching..

Re: A new Great-grandchild expected
Well - Scans have been done and the expected baby is a little girl. She is to be called Hollie and is due in the middle of October.
Jess was so funny when we saw her after she had had her scan. She said, "Oh Mam-gu! She has a little brain and a little heart!" It took me all my strength not to laugh. Mind you, I am glad she has a little brain - more than her mother has at times - Jess can be so scatty at times it is unbelievable.
However, as far as the baby is concerned, she is ready now. The Nursery is ready. It has been decorated and everything put away. All the first size clothes are bought and hung up and I think shortly she will be starting on the 12 - 18 month size little garments.
Mind you, her mother is as organised. Everytime she does her shopping, she buys a tub of cream or baby soap or a new bottle or whatever. So by the time baby Hollie arrives, she will have enough soap, shampoo, baby wipes etc. etc. to last for 12 months.
I have made Jess enough sheets to last through until the baby is out of her cot. Not as interesting as baby clothes, but very necessary.
I have also finished her Afghan with the bunnies on.

Re: A new Great-grandchild expected
Little baby Hollie Louise Riley was safely delivered this afternoon at 5.25 p.m. by caesarean section. Jess went into hospital yesterday to be induced but by about 4.45 p.m. she failed to respond to the treatment to induce her and the baby began to struggle so Jess was rushed to the operating theatre and Hollie was delivered.
Both she and Jess are fine now. Our daughter Carolyn, the grandmother, telephoned me to say she is absolutely beautiful and she fed her a little bottle of milk as the medical staff were still dealing with Jess.
Anyway, I am so glad it is over for them all. Fred and I are going to pop up to the hospital tomorrow afternoon to see her.

Re: A new Great-grandchild expected
Well now!!
Louise, our eldest granddaughter mother to little Connor is expecting a brother or sister for him - due sometime in September.
Connor will be 2 and a half so that is a nice gap. He loves his little cousin Hollie so I am sure he will love a baby brother or sister of his own. Louise and Darren are delighted as are the rest of the family.

Re: A new Great-grandchild expected
Three children - one son and two daughters.
Five grandchildren - four granddaughters and one grandson.
Three great-grandchildren (including the one just started) - one gt.-grandson aged nearly two and his cousin little baby Hollie 13 weeks old. What the new one will be we don't know yet. I expect Louise will want to know when they can tell her. Part of her would like a little girl but then she thinks a little brother might be nice for Connor - so we will just have to wait and see.

Re: A new Great-grandchild expected
Sad news this morning.
Our daughter Carolyn telephoned first thing this morning to tell us that Louise lost her baby yesterday. She is naturally upset but she is alright. She was looking forward to the new baby but there you go - these sad things happen - all part of the Master Plan I think.

I am sorry to hear Louise miscarried. As you said, it is part of God's great design, but it is still such a loss for the family. My best to Louise.
