introducing Genghis Khan!!!
I've been out of commission since the end of march because of a bad fall on the ice while i was walking Mika and hit my head, concussions are not fun stuff and it can take a while to get over. As such, I'm off of work for until I don't know when and I asked if we could have our puppy a few days early, he was going to come home this last weekend in april but he's a big enough boy to come home now! yay! His name is Genghis Khan he's 7 weeks old and where we've got a house full of animals and I'm around all the time, his socialization will be just fine. Mika's accepted him graciously and they've had a few zoomies together but she's pretty good about being gentle, he's made friends with the neighbours poodle puppy and he's still working on our cat...

Re: introducing Genghis Khan!!!
Welcome back. Happy to hear you are doing well from your fall
Genghis Khan is adorable and Mika is looking lovelier than ever! It will be nice to watch GK grow and read of his antics and how big sis will teach him!
Take good care of yourself, Karla.

He looks so serious, and adorable. What a stunning pair they are, stories, and of course-photos. We love 'em here.

I passed on everyone's praise to him and he soaked it all up, he's quite the little guy, proud and full of himself already, Mika and him play really really well together, she's so tolerant of him and am I ever thankfull for her ability to quickly put him in his place when he's too hyper or too dominant, no bites or anything severe, just an "I mean business" growl and a raised lip does the trick. We're just taken with him and we love Mika all the more for being so good.
well, its my horrid sense of humor that reared its head in the naming process...was aiming at a "great leader from the east"'s name and this one stuck, my husband was not having "the chairman" or Kubla Khan, I have an odd sense of humor and I think it's hilarious and fitting.Rowlee wrote:He's just gorgeous, why did you call him Genghis Khan?
