Hoooray!!! No more Renal Failure!!!
Hip, Hip, Hooray!!! My little Princess Buttercup, who has suffered from renal failure since we got her
a couple of years ago, is completely healed!!! Renal Failure no more!!!
As some of you may remember, my little Princess is a Shih Tzu, who upon rescuing had nearly starved
to death, causing her to have several medical problems. One problem, being renal failure.
The Vet patted me on the back and said, "good job, Princess Buttercup is 100% recovered and a picture of health".
I'm so excited!!!

Now that is a wonderful furday present! Does that also mean you will be saving money in new ways, like less vet visits/need for special food and medicine? I hope so. Renal failure is a tough recovery, so congratulations!

Congrats! Certain types are reversible. I'm glad the yahoo group was able to help. Stay well Princess Buttercup!

Re: Hoooray!!! No more Renal Failure!!!
Thank you all!! It is good news and I feel so relieved, my baby isn't sick anymore!
I did several things, such as make a concoction of several herbs, and a raw diet to help her in the beginning, when her adrenal glands were
exhausted, (due to near starvation).
After she began to gain weight, I switched her to a mix of Solid Gold Hundenflocken kibble, and Solid Gold canned, with a cup of warm water, making a gravy. I add the water to up her fluid intake. In addition to that, she got fish oil and two L-Methionine tablets per day.
Now, I give her only one L-Methionine tablet every other day to regulate her urine protein level, preventing infections and fish oil.
She's so much happier than she used to be! In the past, having renal failure made it too risky to get her teeth cleaned, but
this week, she gets her yuck mouth taken care of!!
