Mimi

We adopted Mimi 2 years ago and she is the joy of our lives. Below are some pictures I wanted to share.

While camping in Matagorda, Texas for Christmas Mimi decided she was a lap Chow.



Mimi loves to prop against a wall or on the bottom of the baker's rack. Here is her spot in the bedroom:



Last month we attended a camping rally in Lake Charles, Louisiana. As part of the activities we had a Mardi Paws Parade and I made Mimi a costume





She won the "Prettiest Costume" award:

The one with Mimi propped up against the door jamb cracked us up, reminded us of our Scotti.

Such a cute lil' lap Chow you have there, Nita!!! I can't believe its been 2 yrs and then again can't imagine you without her. Such a pretty lil' red Chow girl!!!

The day I was sewing and fitting the costume Mimi was acting like I was abusing her. A good friend of ours was visiting that day, and normally Mimi doesn't have anything to do with him. He became her savior and best bud! The same friend and his wife were at the rally with us and she remained friendly with him. On the day of the parade I just knew we were going to have an argument with her when the costume was put on. But she was so nosy and excited by all the other dogs she forgot she had the dreaded costume on. Several days later the friend came to our house and we were back to her usual grumbling with him. I got the costume out and he once again became her best bud!

Last week I had another sewing project and got the sewing machine out. She kept pacing and looking at me, but wouldn't come near me. Marty finally figured out she was associating the sewing machine with the dreaded costume. Once I finished my project and put up the sewing machine all was well with her world!

Don't you just love their quirky ways!

Thats hysterical!!! Funny how fast they learn. Once is always enough for Kearra too. Don't get the friend part though.....guess he was alright as long as she had her costume on But PLEASE Mom don't make me another one
