I have a mix...Tod. I'm pretty sure he's part Golden Retriever.

Image
This one is when I first brought him home after finding him in a park.

Image

I'm not sure if the rest of my pack is pure bred or not since they're all adopted, but I think they probably are. Tod acts more like a dog than the others.

Here is a chow/wooley mammoth mix. Not a common breed...I think because of the hair
Image

Actually, my opinion is chow/bassett or chow corgi mix. She has short, stocky legs...not chow legs at all. Tess has these perfectly straight, slilted legs, Fiona has these short, curvy legs...and the black mask/white nose.

Ditto. And we don't see enough of them either. I'm not sure I've ever seen some of these pups before.

I don't know what Lucky's mix is but he is a beautiful boy and that tongue hanging out the side of his mouth is so cute!

Tod has such beautiful color and he looks like he is just posing for the camera. What a good boy!

Milo was such a gorgeous boy. I love the touch of black on the face combined with the very light tail and shading. And he looks like he is smiling right at you.

Shiloh is so beautiful. I admit I thought she just had an unusual coat and hadn't made the step to realize she was a mix. I just love her coloring.

Pip -- I just love the pictures of her with Lily. They seem to have so much fun. And I have a soft spot for the black babies so Pip touches me.

Tobias is a striking boy and the adventuresome one if I remember reading about him at chowfest. Love the coat. Do you know the mix, Larry?
Mamas -- Is that Spanish or just what is seems? Pretty girl. Zoey is a pretty baby just looking for a home--wish I had room for her here. Oh, and Chloe who I saw on another thread today is a beautiful black mix, love the long muzzle -- maybe part Belgian Sheepdog??

Hannah is adorable and looks a lot like the baby pictures of Lily that Auddy put into a montage. I bet she and her brother are a handful, but what fun to watch them play together.

Cheyenne has such a beautiful light coat -- is it actually white? And Cinnamon -- love the dark touches on her face. But mostly I love seeing the two of them together. Are they as inseparable as they seem?

Fiona is the first chow/wooly mammoth that I've ever seen. And I do see that in the picture you posted here. I was thinking maybe chow/sheltie? Long thick coats from both sides and shelties have short legs compared to my chows.

Etta James is a beautiful girl with a beautiful name. Maleficent is striking and looks like she is happy with her new home. Are they best buds now?

Maxwell -- such a beautiful coat and I love those ears that just could not quite decide whether to stay upright and chowy or lay down like a retriever.

Nala looks like a smooth chow and today (just finished a long session of brush the blowing coats) that seems really appealing. And Ty looks at one with his environment, love the action shots. And of course the hugs. Because who wouldn't want a chow hug, mix or pb, same appeal!!

Thanks to everyone for sharing their wonderful furkids. And keep doing it!

!
Parts of her coat are pure white ,her shadings are almost peach. She seems to be getting darker, while Cinnamon is getting lighter, compare to this baby pic:
Image
The sleep in the same crate, and play together and groom eachother, and they don't like it one bit if one of them is gone, but they're more even more focused on us.Chey won't even eat when i'm not home.

Aww! Love that baby pic! Amazing how little they were. I guess I miss having two that played together. Mine often sleep near each other but they don't interact much. I will have to enjoy the bonded pairs vicariously through this site.

This is my wonderful mix Tempest Not sure what is in there but she is just a great companion.
Here at 2 months (about 12-15 lbs) when she was brought home from the humane society.

Here she is at about 4 months (20-25 lbs)
ImageImageImage
6 months (46-48 lbs)

Today at 9 months (52-55 lbs)

She went from being this cute little ball of fluff to this big beautiful dog.
I have soooo many pictures it is hard not to put them all up.

Hi, I'm Steph and I've been reading the forums & articles since I got Lena & Loki, my chow mix sisters, almost a year and a half ago. I have loved the stories, photos, and information... I saw the chow mix photos post, and thought I should join in and finally introduce my girls. They are 2 years old. Loki is about 40 pounds & Lena is closer to 60.

This is Lena:

And here's Loki:
Image

Here's both of them (Lena left, Loki right), pulling Dad on the scooter
Image

Last... here's a link to my photoset of the girls when they were 5-6 months... I fostered them along with 4 more of their sisters:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/retrofired ... 432945424/
And Lena and Loki were supposed to only be fosters too, but we failed LOL  ... long story!

Supposedly the mom was a German Shepherd. From everything I've read Loki and Lena have most of the typical Chow personality complete with the goofy quirks. 2 of their sisters had solid purple tongues but they don't.

I didn't know too much about Chows when they came into my life, but quickly became a huge fan and I can be added to the list of those who will probably always have a Chow in their life! 8)
