Pictures of My Great Day
Well friends, here are some pics of my wonderful, fun day I told you all about. They're not so very great because I moved pretty fast. I had no time for pictures, I was busy soaking up all the fun! Notice me squirting water out in the second pic. Hehehe...we chows sure know how to have fun!!!

It looks like fun! Another chow who loves the water! Last night I put Lily outside to potty, and she wanted to stay outside in the pouring rain, while she stood in a mud puddle...lol. Wish I had had the camera for that one! Special, I hope you get to go back there soon! Maybe when it gets to be a scorching July your mum and dad will take you back!

Thanks everyone! I wish you all could have been there with me, I bet we'd all have had so much fun. Can you imagine all of us going into zoomies at the same time in the water and around the water
Yes, I was veeeerrrryyy tired when I got home My mommy liked that because she was able to clean me and I just cooperated because I was too tired to care!

Chows in Water
I took my 2 to Wales last year, they both love the water and swimming. As I dont let them off the lead too much (use an extender) they just were runnning in and out of the water - brilliant! Max however found a far more lazy way, Once in the water, when he had finished he turned his head, clamped his mouth on the lead and let me 'reel' him in! Sometimes I think he is a few sandwiches short of a picnic, but he proved me wrong that day.

Special Dark,
You are so lucky! Mom's always trying to find us new places to explore. I'm waiting at the front door now so I can take Mom, Dad, & Max for a walk. I've been waiting since 6:30 for the lazybones to get going. I got a new long lead, too. I still can't quite reach the bunnies though. I wonder why ?
PS I think you are very handsome.

Oh my goodness Max, I think I will have to borrow that technique. I actually ewanted to come out at one point, but then decided it was too much trouble and I got myself stuck on rock because my little legs were too...well, little! I think if I were to keep my lead on I could definetly get some use out of being reeled in! Ingenius...
Oh dear miss Miah, I think you are lovely too. Thank you for the compliment! I sure hope you get to reach thosebunnies very soon.
Milly and Mabel, I sure don't blame you about sand and pebbles and such. I often go out of my way to stare down a pebble or weed or something in disgust as I am going around it. There's just no way our royal chow paws were meant to have to step on some of the stuff in this world.

water
Oh, I love to swim and stretch out in streams and drink while the water runs all around me. Icy cold spring water is the best even in the winter! But don't make me walk through mud puddles or go out in even a light drizzle. My cute little nose was not meant to get wet. And the worst is bath water! My mom is still trying to figure out why it is ok for me to walk into a creek and why fetid swamps are exciting, but water in all other forms has no business near me. I have to keep her guessing.

Are you nuts? Going in the water?! I have never imagined doing such a thing. My crazy sisters think that swimming is the funnest thing in the world, but they dry off in 5 minutes. My hairdo would get messed up and might never recover! Water! Phhht!!

Yeah, when it's hot, the best way to cool down is to get ones belly in a cold stream and lap the water as it washes around you. Forget the hair-do, that's mom's problem and she's got nothing better to do than groom you anyway. The stream is even cooler than when you dig a trench is mom's lawn to sleep in (why does that bother her so much anyway?).

Hey Special Dark,
remember Mom and Dad grounded me after I swam across the boat channel and then went adventuring for another hour.
So...I always have to wear my leash and be watched over by my sister...geez.... I am supposed to be a big boy at almost 9.
When I figure out how to get them all to give me some slack...we can go "adventurin" together for a whole day. Can you imagine how people will react when the see two beautiful black chow boys out on the town together

Yes JR, I remember, that's one of the reasons I want to go adventuring with you! You're the king of adventure! I think it would soooooo great to see people's reactions to two handsome black chow guys walking around (and of course, we'd have to drag your beautiful sister in on our adventures! You don't think she'd tattle on us do you? )
Hugs,
Special

Hey Special, my new friend,
I am absolutely sure that my sister, Cheyenne, would tattle on us!
When she came to live with us 6 months ago...she played the poor pitiful Chow who never had love or care... I think that she even starved herself so that she looked scrawny and unkemp and she couldn't even walk very well or even climb stairs.
Now she is this bossy, big fluffy elephant chow with a neck almost twice the size of mine . I taught her how to walk and now she hustles along at a pace just like me...geez...she gained 15lbs just so she could be taller than me too. She really bosses me around and tries to get me to play all the time and when I don't want to she barks real loud and then plays coy little girl so that Mom and Dad will say how cute she is! She sure has them fooled now.
Nope our adventuring is just for us macho chow boys!!!
Hugs to you too....JR
