Up here in the north, young couples make up their own babynames. Don't know if this is a trend in the US too. One of my nieces named their daughter Jade. I didn't like the name at first but I got used to it. Better than the ones that are made up, some real tongue twisters.

I don't have any grandkids yet,
here are the names of friends' grandkids
we don't like any of them,
maybe it's the age?

Elodie
Oceane

Ethan
Colton

I do like Isaac, can't temper much with that name.

I can't even think of a suitable doggie name for "Mikki" I guess she shall remain mikki

I wanted to name Haley Ian if she was a boy. EVERYONE hated it. One woman scoffed, pronounced it Ion, and said I should go with Dakota, like her grandson. Already having been insulted, I told her if I was gonna name my kid after a state, it would be one of the Carolinas...

FWIW (for what it's worth,)
I do like the little girl name but Noah is too biblical.

Re: "I do like the little girl name but Noah is too biblical"

IMO, There's too much animal imagery when pairing Noah with Katz. It becomes something of a cartoon effect. Katz needs more of a traditional, distinguished, 'non-imagery' first name for better balance.

Kiera Katz sounds too much like cure-a-cat. I've changed my mind about Lauren/Laura types too, since they can sound like lure-in-a-cat, or lure-a-cat.

If your baby is a boy:

W. Sean Katz

*the abbreviation of William is for the family part. When he gets older, he can use his formal name on business cards and the such and it will look good. You will call him Sean/Shaun/Shawn. Meaning of Sean: God is gracious.

If your baby is a girl:

April Leigh Katz
Autumn Leigh Katz

*because mommy's name is Summer, perhaps baby might like growning up with a melodic name as well. Meaning of April: the 4th month and "Opening". Meaning of Autumn: the Fall season (also aren't you due around Sept-October)

Thanks everyone. DH is pretty stuck on Noah. I am pretty sure that he won't change his mind. (I like the name Sean but he hates it.... long story)

I like the looks of the name Autumn Leigh Katz, and I like the reflection, but I also see that as a big teaser because most of the kids in my girls' classes know my first name. Also, I am due Aug. 16

Who thought this would be so hard? lol My girls were really easy to name. I think it will be easier when we know what we are having. I am still hoping for twins but I will be happy with just one more too.

April lays cats. No matter what there will be a way if we look hard enough. Anything you pick will be wonderful I am sure of it.

LOL, this will be my last pregnancy. So, it would be fun to have a final two. Mine are now old enough to help out and I have great support from my DHs family. So, I am sure I could handle it. I think it would be so much fun.

I think you are right Redangie, I am sure the name that will be 'IT' will come....I am not overly concerned. I think no matter what the name, the baby be cute......I did good two times, lets see if I can go for three!!!

An early post mentioned "Chase." But if you think Noah Katz leads to jokes, what about Chase Katz.. say that outloud!?]

I DO like the name Noah. Love the girl name you have.

Here's one for you --- Aslan (za-lan)...it's from Narnia and I love that name.
