Oh my goodness. What a story. Intense to say the least. I am so glad this had a happy ending as well as being reunited with his owners. I absolutely understand how a 15 year old chow can get lost. I have experienced a 15 year old chow with dementia and it's a full time job.

This story made me cry. It turns out Kobi was a Jindo. He also did not survive and passed away that night due to complications with water in his lungs. The police were very valiant in their rescue but he was too old.

As I read this story I held my breath and then breathed a sigh of relief when the dog was rescued. Tears came to my eyes when I read that the dear soul passed away later that evening. :(

Chow4life You brought back memories of my beloved Chloe who was 15 yrs old when she passed away 3 years ago. :( Three years before she passed away she was diagnosed with cancer in her right hind leg. The last year I had her she had dementia and also went deaf. There were times I laughed and times I cried. You said a chow with dementia is a full time job. You’re so right, but she was worth it! :)

What a lovely story. But what a shame he did not make it. :(
