My parents surprised me with an early "birthday present"!

Hadn't really had the time to post this in the past week, but here it is.

My mom called me when she was on her way home from work Monday afternoon and asked me to meet her at the store so we could "do grocery shopping". So, I show up and get out of my car and start walking up to her car; noticing she hasn't turned off her car and she's not getting out; so I walk around to the driver side and she opens the door (with the car still running) and calls me closer. I looked inside as I pushed the door open more and see this little 6-7 lbs pomeranian sitting in the passenger seat. My mom's grinning ear to ear telling me "happy birthday" and then goes "isn't he the cutest!?" I couldn't help but say "oh my God, yes! He's adorable!" My mom handed him to me, which is when I finally asked where he came from. And to make a long story short; he was rescued from an abusive home by a police officer, taken into a rescue, and placed in a foster home where he overcame many of his fears and started trusting people. He was just placed up for adoption a day or 2 before my parents found out about him (which I have no clue how they did) and set out to adopt him for me (which apparently was all my dad's idea ).

So, now, Dixie and Jasper have a new little brother and I have another little shadow.

This is Todd (he's around 1 year old).

Very cute! Now if your Dad knew you had Dixie too ( which I cannot believe he still does not know) life will be complete!

Thank y'all. I'm really happy with this little guy. He's got all that "chow" attitude in a little bitty body. (which I've always loved about poms; I've owned 3 previously) He's really come out of his shell in the week he's been here, he's still really timid around Dixie and Jasper but no one is aggressive towards eachother. However, he doesn't like Max (my mom's yorkie) and Max doesn't like him either but that doesn't really matter, Max doesn't like anyone (not even me), and Todd just tries to his best to stay away from him. Li'l Bit and he have become good friends, and my brother's puppy wants to be friends with him, but he's afraid of her. Now the only real struggle we're having with him is trying to get him to eat.

Audrey, I really wish that, but it definitely doesn't look that'll happen any time soon.

I totally missed this.. I was wondering who Todd was in the banner??? well happy birthday early..That's funny Iam usually late on everything.. He looks like he has the chow attitude in the pics..lol

Thanks Nancy! He really does have the chow attitude. Stubborn and stand offish with people he doesn't know. And he must think he and his bark are more intimidating than he/it really is.
