Unusual request for Chow Chow owners near London, UK

Post by jonesben »

Hi

I had a slightly unusual request for any Chow Chow owners who live near London (UK). My girlfriend loves Chow Chows and as such I would like to involve a Chow Chow in my plan to propose to her!

This would not involve anything too complicated or involved, just letting me hold your Chow Chow on a lead when I propose - ideally I would like to propose in the doorway of my flat, which is in a secured block with a 24 hour porter and parking near the Tower of London - your Chow Chow would not leave your sight at any time.

I need to propose on or before 14th March 2012, and would be willing to pay you for your trouble.

Please contact me via email, if you think you might be able to help:

benjamin_p_jones@hotmail.com

Thank you

Ben

Wow!! That sounds so romantic. Although I can't help you unless you can come and get us from Suffolk, that sounds like such a lovely gesture! Good luck to the future, and I hope you can find a chow soon!

Hi Ben,
What a great romantic idea! =D= I'd help you out in a heartbeat but unfortunately I live in the USA. It would have been neat if this would have been possible for me to help you pull this off because my chow's name is Whitby. I rescued her in December and was told she is named after an art museum in London.

I visited London a number of years ago and really enjoyed it and hope to return again someday. :)

I wish you my best and lots of happiness with your special lady. \:D/

Please keep us posted.

Why not get her her own Chow? Nothing more romantic and commitment-indicating :D than that! I'd marry you if you asked me to have a Chow together! :D

Lol Sarah. Well, instead of getting one, you could rescue one... there are a couple that came up recently at many tears animal rescue, if you are willing to travel to Wales. I'm not sure if they are still available, though

I'm not sure they let you adopt if your partner doesn't know anything about it. :?

If you come back to read this: Lily (and her mom Becki) would be perfect for this. Not many Chows let themselves be handled by strangers or even like standing still for more than 30 seconds. Loo would pull you out into the London traffic in under 10 seconds.

Can't help you with the Chow Chow since we are in the United States.

But I would like to say that you have excellent taste to choose a fiance that loves chows. :D

Here are a couple of links to help you find a chow in or near London:

http://www.thechowchowclub.co.uk/home.htm

Breeders in the UK listed on www.netchows.com:
http://www.netchows.com/directory/links ... d_Kingdom/

Also, netchows' forum is called "Blue Tongue Talk". They have a member from Lancashire (1 hour from London). You might want to post your request on their forum as well.

From our forum (However, I don't think anyone is close enough to London):

Good Luck!

Oh what a shame we do not live near enough. Our Maisie is such a lovely friendly affectionate girl - I am sure she would love the job.

Still, never mind. Good Luck. :D

There is something those of us with chows in the U.S. and areas other than London could do for you. After you propose, if you would like a thread could be started on this site and all our chows could post wishing you good luck and congratulating the both of you. (We frequently post items speaking for our chows.)

You and your fiance could watch the website for the new posts.

LOVE THAT IDEA, YVONNE!!! I would be willing to put together a YouTube video if folks sent me their individual ones. THAT would be a nice keepsake, as well.
