My Birthday

My Birthday
Today is my birthday and I had a lovely surprise.
My daughter Rhiannon is a teacher and she lives down South. The telephone rang and when I answered it she said"hello Mum, my year 7's have something to say to you."
She must have held her mobile up because I then heard the entire class shout "Happy Birthday". I shouted back thankyou very much!
It was such a lovely surprise and I just could not stop smiling afterwards, in fact I still am smiling.

Rhiannon was telling me on the telephone last night that the class was absolutely thrilled and that they were so quiet when she dialled my number and I answered and when I called out thank you very much to them they were delighted. They then had quite a discussion about how people can make an elderly's person's day by just a small action.
A very good little lesson for the class, me thinks.
