how much????

Post by Dogdad »

Hi my school is running a food drive this year and in the past it was just human food. I want to challenge the school to reach a certain amount of dog/cat food and then I will stay on the schools roof from 7pm-7am. How many pounds should I ask for I want it to be attainable yet significant. All of it will go to the local humane society. I can't contribute my usual money amount so I want to do something . oh we have 1200 students in my school

thanks

David, what a magnificent idea!

If the goal for the human food is in pounds, I'd suggest 20% of that human food goal. I think that's attainable, especially w/ canned petfood/goods.

Again, great idea and GOOD of/for you!!!

Keep us posted.

I just gave them another option. Raise 1000.00 dollars for the humane society and I will either stay on the schools roof for 12 hours, or allow my head to be shaved in front of 1200 students. we shall see if they want to take up the challenge.

wish me luck

Student coucil sent a letter back and expressed interest, they may not beable to do it until after the holidays but that is ok as long as they will do it. Even if we get half I will be happy. I think money is better than bringing in food, they will buy the cheapest stuff which isn't worth it

Now that I've seen the goal info, I agree on money for the pet drive. Substantive, quality foods for both humans and pets are ideal.
