If you can get going without pep pills
If you can always be cheerful ignoring aches and pains
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles
If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time
If you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you when through no fault of yours something goes wrong
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment
If you can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct him
If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend
If you can face the world without lies and deceit
If you can conquer tension without medical help
If you can relax without liquor
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs

.....Then You Are Probably The Family Dog!

Judy, that is so true!

I wish I had been pampered like my furkids get pampered!
However, about the "lies and deceit"?
Colonel fails on that one, because he tells me he needs to go outside to potty,
but really, he just wants to go chase a squirrel!!! He must get that trait from
his daddy, because I don't care a thing about squirrels!

Yes - Milly lies too. She tells me she is desperate to go out to spend a penny when what she wants to do is to got and hunt hedgehogs and listen to what is going on in a garden next to the garden immediately behind us. Then she barks at them so I have to call her in. I let her have a little bark but enough is enough.
Mabel also tells me she wants to go out in the evening but what she really wants is to go down by the greenhouse and gaze at the moon.
Silly girls, but I love them.

Cheyenne had me going there for awhile at 3am in the morning barking and crossing her legs like potty time was an absolute emergency...sure it was....in the form of a rabbit or an insomniac deer!! And that of course incited her big brother, JR to join in the chorus. They both finally learned that they couldn't con Mom anymore!
Now that I have joined the ranks of the unemployed and Spring is "springing"...they can go in and out whenever they please....DURING THE DAY!!
