First time at the groomers!

Post by Shan&Kayla »

It's the first time I have left Kayla with a groomer, since adopting her. Yay-she is going to be all "purty" lol. Of course the gal that took her leash was scared of her for being a chow..until Kayla showed her fierceness by trying to lick her face off... I haven't been able to clip her nails, because she will turn in circles and nibble my fingers, so hopefully they can manage it ;)

So, Kayla is going to be a pretty girl! I hope all goes well and of course she will really think she is the bee's knees when she gets home.

I will I could get M & M bathed - we are very busy here on The Island with a General Election and County Council Elections - Milly and Mabel are thoroughly fed up with me going in and out and out and in. However, the weather is still not all that good so in a week or two, it will be the bath tub for my two 'Hobo Chows'.

I love it when they have their first spring bath 'cos they strut about all proud of themselves once it is all over.

Let us know the outcome, Shan! :D :D

oh she feels so spiffy! She is such a good "chowbassador" lol everyone there loved her and they begged me to bring her back soon! She was so happy to see me that she jumped up onto the little half door. "mom! these people cleaned my ears and clipped my nails...how dare they? take me home!" I am so glad she was such a good girl...since this was the first time, I wasn't so sure how she would react. She just takes everything in stride, and keeps on smiling her chow smile  She even got a bully stick for behaving so well, so that kept her busy all evening

:D So glad it all went so well.

We will have a rare old time in a week or two! :P

Mabel will be reasonable good and get it all over and done with then she will be thrilled to bits and will know she looks good.

Milly will fight like a little demon  but we will take absolutely no notice and do exactly what we want!!

Then when she is done she will feel good and will race round the garden and be really pleased with herself.

Good Girl Kayla!!

So glad Kayla made it through her trip to the groomers with flying colors! I've never actually taken Dakota to a professional groomers, I just do what I can at home and as for getting her nails clipped......Well, thats another story!!

I have to get the vet to do this and it usually takes 2 people to hold her down while the vet clips as quickly as she can. Dakota is absolutely terrified of getting her nails clipped (last time she even peed on the exam table, she was so scared  ) She howls and screams like someone is trying to kill her and its quite the dramatic scene.

I have to take her in soon though, as her nails are getting so long and I'm not looking forward to this, lol

Lucky for you, Kayla is such a brave girl! And by the way, what a cute picture of her with her treat.
