Looking for a Chow to a loving home, 5 acres in Washington

Postby joshuakpeace » Thu Jun 17, 2010 10:10 am

Hello there!

Thank you for reading my post and hopefully helping me and some unloved chow. I have been looking to get a dog for 2 years now and have finally decided on a chow. I would love any help in finding a rescued or up for adoption chow. I have contacted a few places but any help would be appreciated.

Thank you again for your time bringing happiness to both me and my new Chow!

I have a beautiful 3-4 year old fixed black female chow. She belonged to my parents who both passed (one in 07 and the other in 08). They loved this dog very much. Since they have been gone, she has been living with my brother and he does not give her the time and attention that she was use to with our parents. I live on a very busy road and cannot take the chance of her getting hit. My parents always had chows. I have never seen a chow as sweet as this girl. She is actually a little timid and shy. She lived with another dog until about 6 months ago (he died) and got along well. She also gets along with the cat in the house. She has always been in a fenced yard; she does not have street smarts. She has never been crated. She is house trained. She has never lived with children, but once she warms up to them, seems fine with them. Right now she has been groomed with a summer cut to keep her cool. She is also up-to-date on shots and takes a heart worm pill each month. Her name is Sootie. We are a 15 minute drive from Birmingham, AL .
