1st timer
Hello to All,
I'm a newbie, here in chowchow.org and also a new owner..
I just want to ask one question.. Can I have suggestions on how to prevent this to happen?
I bought a female chow chow, she is 5 months old..
When I bought her, I already saw some red spots on her skin.. I taught it was normal.. Then after 1 week, when I'm feeding her, I saw a wound below her ears. I consulted it to a veterinarian, and he said, my dog might have mites on her skin. He then gave me a prescription, to give my chow a vitamins (Coat Shine).
What else can I do to prevent this to happen to my chow chow again?
Thanks to all who will reply..

Might have?? He didn't test? Coat shine would do nothing in my opinion for critters on your pet, I'd go for a second opinion
And make sure your chow is on a good food, that has been key for me and my chows for years, they have better coats, healthier teeth, eyes and health in general, oh and they have great poo! Good luck and stay on top of it, once you lose control of a chows skin and coat so hard to get it back
