new to chow chow world

Good day to everyone,

I am thinking of getting a chow puppy and my main concern is how trainable the chows are on recall. Our friend has a chow and his dog is very rare responds to recall or his own name. So are all chow like this or its individual?

Chows are not good with recall PERIOD. Thee is probably someone on the forum who has a chow that is good with recall, but most of the discussions on the subject are about how poorly chows are with recall. Do a search for "recall" and you will get many posts on the subject.
