My first Chow

Hello all!
Thank you for this forum, i have been reading a lot, and a lot of my questions have been answered
)
But even so, i still have a question. But first a bit of context:
I am about to go pick up my first Chow in April. A black little girl. Its not my first dog (I have lived with Airedale Terriers all my life, so i know what taking care and educating a puppy is all about), but it is my first Chow.
My question is: how can I tell if she will be rough or smooth coated? I love both, but I would low key prefer a rough as they look fluffier than the smooth coated ones.
