Does he have chow in him?

Hi, I'm Veronica and I recently adopted what I believe to be a chow chow mix, I just want a second opinion. He doesn't have a fully blue/black toungue, only a few spots, which I know could mean anything! Also, his name is Lafayette (Laf for short)
I've attached pictures of him.

Laf is a very gorgeous dog! I think there is a very good chance that he he does have some chow in his blood line.
Just a random guess that he is shepherd x chow.

Possibly a bit of smooth coat in there. Very pretty color!!
