Saturday, April 19th: EAST COAST CHOWFEST 2008

Post by chowfrnd88 »

Hi All,
Everything is all set for this east coast chowfest! :D Saturday, April 19th at Black Hill Regional Park. 11-3ish. We'll have planty of trails to hike, a covered picnic area and for anyone who'd like to let their chows off-leash: a wonderful fenced in dog park.

You can see what the park looks like at these websites:
http://www.mc-mncppc.org/parks/faciliti ... index.shtm and
http://www.mc-mncppc.org/parks/park_of_ ... _jan6.shtm

If you're planning on attending, please pm so we can exchange phone numbers etc.

So far, we have,
Titus, Nanook, Jade and Special Dark as for attending for sure.

We all hope to see you there! :D

No where is it stated we can't have more then one, right? For the chowkidz location is no problem, dates will depend. The weekend of April 12 is the Harrisburg dog show and we go every year to see Nanook's breeder and show the kidz off to the public. If we can't make it to this one we will try for one of the others. It is a very nice looking park. Lots of fun stuff.

When we did Chowfest last May, we did 2 locations. Nothing wrong with it, in fact, not everyone can travel hundreds of miles, so you will be giving some folks an opportunity to attend who might otherwise be unable.

Okay, April 19th it is then! It's official. :D

I'll get on the ball with posting more info early next week. How does 11-3-ish sound? That way people who need to get on the road again can get back out there. But if people would like it to be longer or earlier or later, whatever works for you all! :D I can't wait, I'm so super excited!!

If you can definetly make it, either post here in the next few weeks or send me a pm please.

 Hiiiii Everyone, my husband and I have been visiting this forum for quite some time and i finally decided to sign up to become an official member of this wonderful chow community :)

We have 2 chowkids of our own. Kuma: Red Male Chow, 11 Months, very friendly and social. Nova: Black Female Chow, 8 Months, friendly but shy. We live in Philadelphia, PA and hardly get to see any other chows around our way. My babies love going to Petsmart and are considered celebrities by the employees there..lol

We have an interest in attending ChowFest for the first time on Saturday. Although Black Hill Regional Park is about 3 hours away, we're still considering making the trip with our two babies.

I've attached pics of my chowkids so everyone can meet them!
