Yes, yes!! I've been thinking about this too and was going to wait until next month to try to organize it. I guess we just see who's interested and then try to pick a mid-point?

++perfect chow weather+++

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Moun ... otated.jpg[/img]

the white mountian in New Hampshire just about now sounds like perfect chow weather to me ..

"""
Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
"""

that is of course assuming there is a good hard snow pack or crust ... Chows love to snow shoe...

now , chow owners on the other hand may prefer warmer weather.....

Chowfest northeast

Depending on where and when I might be able to make it. You should also include parts of Canada that are close to the Northeast.

we would love to be apart of the chowfest! The colder the better for Nanook and mommy. Jade and daddy think we are crazy. Please let us know if we can help in anyway.

Our Mid-West Chowfest was in the middle of May. The weather was perfect. On Sunday, when we were in Ohio, it threatened to rain and be cold, but as we walked down to the river, we were all peeling off our spring jackets, and the rain stayed away. I am certain poor Sharon, who hosted, was worried sick the weather would be bad.

I remember when we tried to do this before, someone suggested maybe having two, so that one could reach the lower east coast and one could reach the upper east coast. Maybe we need two locations and then people could decide whether they are closer to one, or they can come to both. :D I've been wanting to organize one here in MD for some time now (lots of potentional parks to have it at and lots of nearby hotels), so maybe that could be one location and then we could pick another more northern location? I'd like to get to both (and of course if there's another mid-western chow fest I'd love to go to that one too! :D ). Mid-April or early May sound good to me, the weather around here would be very spring-like, not too hot and too cold, By mid-May it might be too hot for the chows to stay outside for a good bit of the day.

mornin all.
ok so i started checking out possible locations for our chowfest.
so far i have emailed 2 places. one indoor dog park, and one outdoor, both in pa.
the advantage of the indoor one, is we wouldnt have to worry about a rain date.
it is called canine creature comforts. a 15,000 sq ft facility.
the outdoor one sounds great too, but no bathroom facilities for us humans.
i will keep ya'll posted.

I checked out the web site for Canine Creature comforts, that place looks really cool. It looks good for the fur kidz and the ones they own. It's amazing what they have for the fur kidz now a days.

We did ours the weekend before Mem weekend, to avoid traffic and crowds. If you aren't using the monday, it may not be worth the hassle.
