Hello everyone,

Thanks for sending the invites and emails for the ChowFest. I've been on email backlog for a month. I would love to drive up and attend, but I've got so much work (regular job and freelance) that I don't know if I'll be able to make it up. I'm gonna see if the wife and I can take off for that weekend and get away. If not, please do take plenty of pictures and post them on the site. I'm sure it'll be a blast for everyone to meet and all the Chow Chows to get together.

Regarding Agenda Item: Memorial Tribute to the chows and pets over the bridge

*******************************************

At ChowFest on Sunday, we will hold a moment of silence with a short prayer recited by Miss Pooh Bear in chow.

The memorial will have candles lit for the following member chows from cc.org who crossed over within the year:

Khon, Coco, Dakota, Darkwind, Gerbie, Koda, Lao, Keiko, Precious, Tinker, Gizmo and Boosha and of course, Zhuyo.

If you would like us to add your chow or beloved pet on a memorial candle, please post your intention on this thread by midnight Saturday. Please include your chow or beloved pet's name.

Parents of the above aforementioned chows, if you would like your memorial candle (it has a small picture of you love on it), please PM me your address so I can send it to you once ChowFest is over.

Oh Steering Committee, that is a beautiful tribute. I am sure Miss Pooh bear will do a beautiful job.

Andy and Michelle with our new boy ZEN will be there. Of course TINKER WILL be joining us in spirit!
We just got home from Oakland. The SPCA has finalized our adoption of ZEN. He's our boy!

Oh Brilliant pictures and you all looked as if you were having a wonderful time.
How lovely and well behaved the Chow Chows looked - I hope anybody who saw them stopped to look at the the "vicious dogs" being so sweet.

It was such a fun day! The beautiful Chowdren did get alot of attention - especially for the group photo! It was amazing how they all were able to mingle with each other. Even my aloof Mr. N joined Shiloh in a circle of Chows checking each other out. Most of the time he kept me on the outskirts. They were a couple of very sleepy furkids in the ride home...Shiloh jumped into her pool as soon as we took the harness off but that still didn't refresh her enough to stay up too long last night.
