Count me and Brandon in as long as I can get off work and it's a reasonable distance to travel. I might have a friend that would come with, she loves chows. Doesn't have one right now but has had them all her life. We might make it a girls weekend (sorry, Brandon, girls and chowguys weekend!) if at all possible.
I'll ask her once we get the date and location pinned down.

The 3 major cities that look fairly located for everyone that has shown interest in the Mid-west Chowfest are Indiannapolis, IN * Columbus, OH * and Cleveland,OH. In each case, it is around 4oo miles or less for many, and in some cases, it is closer to 600 miles, depending on the location. According to my road Atlas.
What will probably happen, is that we will have to have 2 separate chowfests. It will depend on the concensus of who is willing to drive long distances. I have said before, I am staying overnight at a dog friendly motel, so I have no issue with the distance of 400 miles. Others might feel more comfortable with half that distance. Whatever your opinion, it need not be in the actual city listed, but a smaller community near by. Please do not be shy about voicing your opinion, as well as the distance you are willing to go, and alternate suggestions for meeting places.

I'm In
I think Bear would enjoy meeting all the other boys and girls like him.
I was IMing Chris and suggested the weekend before Memorial weekend (May 19&20). Even though a 3 day weekend sounds more logical, most communities are celebrating in droves, and many people are already doing traditional things for that weekend. After that, it's graduations and weddings throughout June.

I threw May 18/19 out there. It landed with a thud...lol. We should nail down the date and general area, so those of us that need to plan ahead and make reservations are free to do so. Feedback, people. We need some feedback.
Please Note: On friday, I will be moving this post to the Special Events section, because, well, that is where it belongs!
