Re: Sunday, July 20th: NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHOWFEST 2008
I took 3 videos introducing each chow at CF08 but only 1 saved
ALSO, WE HAVE ONE EXTRA TREAT BAG LEFT. PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU DID NOT TAKE ONE BEFORE YOU LEFT CHOWFEST!!
On behalf of the other Steering Committee members, we want to thank all our guests for being so cooperative and helpful and honest about your chows. Thanks so much for bringing all the food and beverages. We had an overabundance of biped and four-pawed Treats! Thanks also for Aslan's mommy for sending our chows home with their own little take out bag of snackies. Our ChowFest really went well because of all of you - not us four reserved Steering Committee members (albeit one is a little less soft spoken than the three)! Also, a special thanks to Special Dark's mom for sending me the gorgeous plate that was the center of our tablescape. It was that plate which inspired this year's CF theme.

it was kinda cute...Chase came up to me and asked if Mr. N was Butters! It's great that even the kids know the Cyber Chows!

Awesome photos!!! What a bunch of gorgeous chows. It looks like such a great time. Everything looked so amazing, it must've been a lot of work to get everything so wonderful. Everyone must be so tired.
It is so wonderful that even the kids know the cyber chows!
Zhuyos Mom, I noticed the plate on the table right away.
Off topic, but Kingalls, I just looked at the vidoe attached to your signature. It had me in tears, I had to keep rewinding because I missed parts of it through the tears. All these years, i don't think I ever knew how little Shiloh and Mr. N were when you got them! Of course I bawled when i saw the chowfest insert and Zhuyo there too. It's a gorgeous video and you did such a great job matching the pics to the lyrics!

OMG Steve! We thank you for all your help! You were our 4th "big and burly/lean and mean" to show up and without you, those picnic tables would not have been moved as perfectly as I asked. Strange you didn't know that picnic tables had a north and south end ! Also, on a personal note, EXTRA Thank you's to your family for helping me out with my trio and for Amy for tending to the area while we went to indulge the paparazzi for the group shot! I really do hope you all had a nice time at CF this year with all the work you ended up having to do. Hopefully, you'll come to next year's as well but this time, you can just sit back and relax.
I also hope your son had a good experience at the SF State workshop that afternoon.

Re: Sunday, July 20th: NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHOWFEST 2008
They did indeed Lou!! And the big golden Californian Flag flew beautifully in a wonderful summer breeze all day - has not long been hauled down. Fred had a panic this morning though as he could not find it! I went to bring Hector out of kennels and got back home to find Fred in his dressing gown frantically searching through all his flags, grumbling that he could not find the Golden Bear.
So I let Hector into the back garden, went back in and looked through for the flag and there it was.
Anyway, up it went and we raised our mugs of tea in a toast for another year of good health!!

We did indeed have a lovely time at the Palace only it was our dear Princess Royal - Princess Anne, the Queen's second child. She was lovely as usual. I will post photos on a separate thread.
And we did indeed have toast with the toast!

Re: Sunday, July 20th: NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHOWFEST 2008
You know Lou, you refer to Sir Tiggs as a mix. I said it when the Shakespeare Chows first arrived, and I will say it again based on the CF photos. Those have to be PB Chows. They are too uniform to be mixes...not that it matters in the least. I need to hit the lottery so I can be a jet-setter and attend all the national chowfests! Such fun!

That is an awesome photo. Caitlyn put it as her background on her computer. I can't believe how perfectly posed Teddie is too and it wasn't a posed shot. I think that is the best he has ever looked. He is not one to sit still so it is great that you were able to get such a perfect shot of him. Richard, I think you should have a job as a pet photgrapher. People would pay big money for photos of their pets like that. Mine never turn out like that.
On another note, we had a great time at Chowfest. Thank you to the comittee who put together such a great event once again. We love coming and our chows love it too. Boogie, Teddie, and Fozzie were all on their best behavior (even though Teddie forgot his manners a few times ). All three were pooped and slept the whole way home and layed around the rest of the evening. Thanks again. We cannot wait until the next one.

Oh I love that pic! Just great!
Excuse my ignorance but what/who is Shakespeare Chows? I saw that name on several of the photos.

Thank you for mentioning my Milo Lou. I can't believe he was here last this time last year, but I didn't know how quickly he's be gone
Thank you Elodie!
