If Kubbi gets to adopt Lakota, I might get to meet her in person since we live in the same town! :D

I've already PM'd Kubbi... poor thing

We had our home inspection for Lakota yesterday. Kudos to CARE for coming over from Columbia City to help out the rescue group in TN. all went well. Now waiting for the approval from the rescue group. :D our Kubbibear is 12 and it's high time he had a companion!

All systems go, Lakota has a new family!

I've had a hard time keeping my flapping mouth shut up to this point... I was 99.9999% sure everything would work out perfectly, but we wanted to make sure every detail was covered before announcing the good news.

Congratulations and thanks to Kubbi's mom and dad, I don't think we could have picked a nicer couple for her. Chow Fancier (Jerilyn) deserves special thanks for serving as liaison between cc.org and Dogster. Also Susan, Lou, Layla, Karen, Karin, Yvonne, Laura, Michael, Sean, Phyllis, jacqui, Jeff, Mia, Cindy, Unca D, Stachia, Kelley and CARE, who all helped or offered to help. And thank you one and all for your and good wishes!

I love that CARE did the home inspection for Silver Rescue (in TN), it's so great when rescues work together.

Susan and I are planning to meet Lakota's new parents halfway between us and Indiana, and yes, there will be pictures. 8)

Oh I am sooooooooooo happy! I never worried about her because I knew she had the bestest foster mommy ever but I did want her to get her very own family where she can live out her remaining years in royal splendor!! Now she can take her southern charm up to Indiana and show them what southern belles are all about! :P

Tentative plans for this coming Saturday. Kubbi and Lakota's mom and dad wanted to drive the whole 6 hrs to get her, but we convinced them to let us meet them halfway.

I'm so happy to hear this news. Lakota deserves a forever home and Kubbi could use the company.

Congratulations to Lakota, Kubbi and Linda (Kubbi's and now Lakota's Mom)!

God bless all of Lakota's angels from cc.org and the two rescues!

If it wasn't for Dogster & Jerilyn this would never have happened. Only 3 more days to go! I'm going shopping today for some sweaters! ( sweaters for a Chow, lol!) It is very cold here right now, must keep her wittle nekked butt warm. :D

It's cold here too. It was hard to find a coat big enough for a chow chow here, most of them are for purse pups. I did find one XL at PetSmart that Teddy wears. I also bought a womens small fleece vest and put it on him with the zipper on his back. (Had to adjust the hem on his underside to avoid the waterworks, but fleece doesn't ravel so only sissors were required: no actual hemming)

Oh, this is just the best news. Lakota has a home - geez I am so happy.

I just cannot even look anymore without crying at all the babies out there looking for just a little love.

I didn't do anything, but I sure want to be involved in the future. I really would like to help.
