Chow abandoned - male owner moved and left her behind

Post by Jeff&Peks »

Here's one we all love to see and hear about. Repost from LA Craigslist.

She has been living across the street from where her family moved away and left her. I have been feeding her every day and night. I have networked with rescues and sent out flyers. She is scared and is hard to catch but seems to like men more than women. Previous owner may have been male. Hopefully a male animal lover is interested in her. Email me for her picture.

That B!@$!rd, The person should report the previous owner. I hope the person who is feeding him is trying to get him to come into his or her house/fenced in yard. It makes so soooo angry... How can anyone be so cruel and heartless.

How sad. The poor thing is waiting for her owner to come back. This is so heartbreaking. If only she knew that her previous owners weren't worthy of her loyalty.

We went to Reno this past weekend for my daughter's basketball tournament and as we were headed back over the mountains, there was a sign posted on the freeway that said $1000.00 fine for animal dumping. I have seen signs like that for litter but never for animals. All I could think of was that there must be quite a few for them to post that and that it is wilderness up there and any city animal would never stand a chance. It was an awful feeling to think that someone would do something like that.

Somewhere in LA, She posted on the LA craigslist but doesn't give a location. I E-mailed the lady and told her I posted her on here but I don't know if Yahoo mail will go through criagslist, some of those website reject, I guess you would call them second party e-mail accounts.

No dog deserves that. I hope the poor girl finds a good home. From the look of her, it doesn't look like anyone has taken very good care of her recently, or ever.

I think this is going to become more and more common as shelters and animal control start charging for animal drops. Many have already gone to this practice and charge anywhere from $15-40 a dog for owner turn ins and stray turn ins. People don't want to pay, so they just leave them behind. So very sad.

The poor dear! She does look so very confused. Makes me cry and my heart ache for her.

How can someone just leave an animal behind? I hate people like this!

I agree with you all. It's mind-boggling.

It's so sad when people can just walk away from an animal like it was just a piece of property. It's disgusting. She looks like she needs some major attention and love. I just wnat to grab her ad hug her.

Is there anyone doing anything for her? Anyone in La that could get her and then get her into a rescue? Chow chow rescue of the sierra footHills is great but I think someone has to have possesion of her, I don't think they will try to catch her

The only way to get in touch with her is going through craigslist, I e-mailed her but no response. Yahoo mail may not be going through craiglist or going to her spam mail. if someone can try e-mailing her you might get a response.

That owner is an <expletive expletive expletive>, not to mention a <expletive expletive.> I hope I never run across that <expletive expletive> in the street somewhere, or I'll run him over with my <expletive> car!!

Isn't there a chow chow rescue down there in LA that could help?

That poor little chowgirl!
This kind of ignorance brings out my inner RedNeck!

Jeff, thanks for bringing this case to the table.
Jeff is looking for someone who has a primary email account to email this lady for a location. If we can get in touch with this lady, we can get a location. Maybe, we can get this lady to catch the chowgirl.

Who can email this lady?Reply to: comm-324541478@craigslist.org

(I have only secondary account email, but I will try it anyway)

Jeff,
I don't know what the temp is there today, but my guess is, she has found shade for now.
That's very kind of you and your friends who are trying to help this girl.
"This girl" sounds so lonesome. Jeff, why don't you give her a name, so we can refer to her by name?

I wish I had a primary email account!
