Thank you everyone for all of your help finding a forever home for my Mia. I recieved a private message from a couple looking for a chow and I am just waiting on a response from them. I will keep you all updated and if a need for transportation comes up I will let you know.

Thanks again, I really do appreciate all of your suggestions, ideas and help. I really do love Mia. I just can't keep her and want to find her a good home.

So whatever happened?

I hope everthing worked out for Mia...I want to hear about her being in a loving new home.

The people who have emailed me regarding Mia have not responded back so I am still looking for a place for her.

I can't even begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for Jerrald and his wife for opening their home to my Mia. This has been so hard for me when I realized that I needed to find a new place for her, but now I am confident that Mia is going to be well cared for and loved.

I wanted to take this opprotunity to thank everyone for all of their posts, advise, comments and suggestions with regards to helping Mia find a home. I am sad that I have to let her go, she is my baby, but at the same time excited to know that she will live a long, happy and full life and I didn't have to do the alternative which would have killed me.


Thanks again and I am just as excited as all of you to hear of her new adventures in MO especially the snow which I know that she is going to love!

Know my prayers are with you and that you are not giving Mia up completely. A piece of her will be in your heart, as well a piece of you in ours. Thank Creator for the Internet so we can stay in touch and post pictures of Mia when the snow flies (which btw, I'm not asking for any time soon!!! LOL)

Here's an update on Mia- She is currently at 36000 feet over the gulf on her way to Houston.
Again - Thanks to everyone for all their help and support to both Stacy and I as well as Jennifer and her family.

Perfect timing before the hurricane closes airports along the coast. I can't wait to see new pics at her new home!!! I'll understand if we have to wait a couple days though.

Mia is here at the house and has spent the last 3 hours roaming and smelling the back yard. She's went through a pretty rough ride getting here - When they brought her up in the elevator at the airport, she was backed into one corner of her crate and was giving it all she had with the bared teeth and barking. Once we got her into the backyard and opened her door, it took her a while to come out. She's been out had some food and water, and then had a stand off with me because I was too close for her liking. I stood my ground and let her back off, knowing she didn't get her bluff in with me. Unfortuneatly she isn't going to come in tonight, neither of us can coax into the door, and she still isn't sure completely what is going on or about us. We'll see in the morning how we're getting along. She's a Chow - Things have to be done on her time.

Sure, everything is going to be just fine. Mia has been through a big fast change. Those plane rides bite the big one. Let her do as she pleases and realize that she has nothing to fear. She has to gain trust. We are here for support or to answer questions. We are no strangers to Chowtitude.

But no worries, everything will be fine. We wish you the very best! Definitely keep us updated. Thanks.

Awwww that must've been a big let-down, but you're right...she'll come around in her own fashion. Mia's been through a lot and deserves a soft place to land. I'm glad she has that with you now.
