My Chow Chow, Nanuk has rough and cracked paw pads. She's limping on one leg and I was wondering what I can do to alleviate the problem.
I was using vaseline on her paw pads after grooming her. I've heard of people using bag balm as well. What do you suggest?

Most pet supply stores have a "paw wax" that you can rub on her feet for just that problem. If you have a PetSmart in your area, go to the shampoo aisle and its with the anti itch sprays and such. I bought some for special needs cat that always had dry, cracked pads and it helped alot.
