Inner ear hair removal; yes or no??

Post by Clockman »

I know on many other breeds, groomers pluck the hair out of the inner ear, but it seems like they do it mainly on long eared dogs. Does anyone here pluck their Chows' ears and if so, how do you do it?

My sister has a chow but she doesn't pluck her chows inner ear hair. It's a natural thing in there. And when the chow gets ear infection the vets don't really advise that also.

Hi, I work with 7 chows and I would not pluck it out, but you can trim it and keep ears clean by checking them at least once a week.
