Eye boogers??

Post by nmerced93 »

My pup will be 8 weeks on Friday but he seems to have a lot of eye boogers. I talked to a lady at a pet shop today and she said to change his food and make sure there is no Corn, or Grains. Is this right and will it work? What else can I do for him? I bought some tear wipes at Walmart and that seemed to take the crusty boogers stuck on his hairs, but I'm looking for something to maybe put in his eye.

You do not need to put anything in his eyes. He's only eight weeks old. Just gently wipe them with a soft warm wash rag. As far as feeding it is best to keep corn and grain out of his diet for multiple reasons including allergy .

Chestnut got eye boogers with Orijen 6 fish so it can definitely be food related. With generic dog food laden with grains not only did she get eye boogers she also itched like crazy.
