Rough Hair or Smooth Hair ?

Post by Babs »

Hi Everyone,

I am hoping someone can tell if Niosa's coat is going to be Rough Hair or Smooth Hair :?
Ever since Niosa started shedding, She has not been fluffy like when we first got her.
I miss my fluff ball :(
Could this be her summer coat?

Thank You from the first time Chow owner.
You all were so helpful before....
I hope the pictures can help

mmm I'd say rough. From my experience and what I have learned... especialy from this site is it probably depends on the "line" your chow came from.
What did the mother and father look like? That is a good indication of what your pup will look like.

I am sorry to say I never seen Niosa's mom or dad, we got Niosa from the shelter.
I would say that's a good thing for us :)
She is a Wonderful, Loving, but she does have her days, just like her mom

Niosa is 7 months & I was told she was a pure breed, she has a nice dark blue/purple tounge. 8)
I was told a man dropped off a whole litter, he could not handle them
Niosa was the last one their because she was sick, & was just put back out for adopting the day I went in with my son ....
We could not leave her their, So we brought her home to leave with Ashley Her buddy... & my two older dogs total of 4 dogs & she is never bored in this house LOL......

She is a rough. Smooth Chows have no leg feathering at all.
