grooming/undercoat rake

Post by tekendall »

I went to a do it yourself dogwash place, and while there, a groomer came out to give me some advice. She let me borrow an undercoat brush she had. She suggested that I get one if I never wanted to shave her, especially since she is a chow. It works amazing! Gets out the mats and dead undercoat. Not sure if anybody has suggested this tool before. With all the talk about shedding and shaving, I thought I'd pass along what works for me. It's made by Oster and can be found on several websites for sale.

I bought mine from http://www.valleyvet.com. They are 16.95-21.00 depending on the size. http://WWW.JEFFERSPET.COM also has them starting at 19.95. The groomer reccomended the 18 tooth Medium comb.
