Nose Texture and colour change(greyish colour)? help identify what it might be.

Hi,
My 5 months old male chow chow has started showing weird texture on his nose with discolouration.

I took him to the vet, and im not really happy of the feedback. i was asked to monitor it to see any changes and no proper diagnosis was made.
have anyone here came across a similar condition, please help me identify what it could be.
I will try another vet soon, its just that its going to take a couple of weeks before i get an appointment some where else.
