Sudden Weight Loss- HELP?!
So Yoshi is my 4 year old chow baby. He's been on a raw food diet since he was a pup since he had allergic reactions to basically everything . Now all of a sudden he's been getting very sick, bloody diarrhea and sudden weight loss ( over 20 lbs!! ). I've spent thousands getting him tested and the vet says he is a strange case, they have no idea what's wrong. Has anyone had a similar experience??!?!?! I have no idea what to do I've tried it all! Feeding him double (not that his appetite is an issue), vitamins, doctors. Any suggestions??

This is very scary! 20lbs is significant. Is there an internal specialist that your vet can recommend? Some of the vet schools (Universities) have fantastic vet services. They often specialize in cases that regular vets do not tend to.
What area do you live in? I might be able to help you locate a specialist.

Wow, that really is significant. I have no experience with such dramatic weight shift, but that would be approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of his normal body weight and nothing to be taken lightly (which obviously you haven't). I agree with Cindy that you need a specialist. If he is eating, then I can only imagine that you are looking at either a serious parasite issue or an autoimmune disorder. Auto-immune is frequently visible with skin rashes or fur loss. Make sure you have stool samples available to the vet for parasite issues. Keep an eye out for unusual behaviors and report them to your vet. I lost a dog to a brain tumor years back. He had started to display a lot of head shaking and scratching around the head area before beginning to experience seizures.
