Sally new update
Haven't posted about Sally for a while.
The good news she is doing great, the bad news I had to bring her through a new set of Mange treatments.
The Demodex milbes took over again a few weeks after the 1st treatment was considered successful.
I was surprised how fast it spread again. We discovered spots behind the ears, two days later it had reached the cheeks soon after spots appeared near the front legs and fur started falling out quickly, despite special food, VCO and fish oil treatment.
Only injection and Amitraz bath once a week brought her back to normal. Her tail developed very nicely, the face was the worst area but I can see real recovery in this area now as well.
Her weight increased from 11kg when rescued to about 20kg a week ago.

Re: Sally new update
Glad to know your Sally is recovering. Demodex doesnt work all the time. You can also use EURAX lotion which is for human use.
Just to share, I think it is true that mites cannot survive Chlorine bleach (Zonrox) diluted in water as a rinse, but the dog's skin will survive another day.
