Weird breathing !! Does your chow do this?

My chow chow has made weird breathing noises, like a cat when having a hair ball. I have recorded it and showed it to the vet and said it could be from the heat or allergies, do your chows make those odd noises? have you gotten any answers to why? I want to get my chows hair cut for the summer, a trim, since she always looks mellow and sad when it's summer unless, she gets a hair cut, she is more energetic.

I've never had a cat with a hairball, but when our chow is about to throw up she starts a rythmic heaving.
Not sure if that's similar to what yours is doing, but ours usually follows it with a small amount of throw up.

I'm sure the breathing noises has stopped but if your chow chow was a puppy when this started then it could be allergies or the simple fact that chow puppies when they are young breathe weird as they are learning how to regulate their breathing and control their temperature
We had the same problem but it is a phase
