Simba, 3 months old cream puppy

Re: Simba, 3 months old cream puppy
I was told that she is the "runt" of the litter, I don't like that word. But anyway, I know she is very small for a 4 months old chow chow. What do you think?

Re: Simba, 3 months old cream puppy
She appears to be a petite female, but given the eating issues, i dont think she is a 'runt'. Coat appears to be good, and while the pic isnt great, eyes appear attentive and focused.
For what its worth, our breeder considered Rory the 4th 'pick' out of 6 pups. That is the ranking that some breeders will use to identify the pups for show/breed stock. Not much different than identifying 1 pup as the runt, but Rory has won 4 Best of Breed shows and he is only 14 months. Nothing out of the 1 - 3 spots, but i dont know that they have tried. Don't put a whole lot of stock into breeder rankings or labels.
Not sure that we will see this show thing through all the way, but we picked Rory based on his personality and connection to my wife anyway. I think that is way more important. He's a sweet dog who fits very nicely with our family. That's what really counts.
