Please help

Post by j.coleman »

Hi all I have a 3 and a half year old chow chow bitch and she has recently hurt her back leg playing on the garden, we took her to the vets who prescribed her some anti inflamitries and she seems to be getting better . There's no physcal damage and u can he her leg and move it fine and she's under no pain just limping a lil but as the weeks got in she shows signs of using it a lil bit. Well I've seen my vet today and they've now told us its knee ligament damage and needs an x ray and operation ? Does this sound right as I'm a bit sceptical with vets abs dentist playing along people's heart strings any suggestions please?

Get the xray's done. Better safe than sorry. You need to see what is going on in there with your chow girl. If you are still skeptical after your vet explains what the xray's show, then bring the xray's to another vet and seek a second opinion.
