What's going on with Solid Gold?

Does anyone what is going on with Solid Gold? I went to get some more treats and canned food (which Special gets on occassion as a treat) and the clerk at our little pet food store said that there's something about them switching a ditribution center or factory or something. Does anyone know the story? Or what this means in terms of availability or even more importantly will the source and processing (or rather lack their of) of the ingredients remain the same?

Also, I see that Petco is now carrying Solid Gold in full force! Last year they were testing it out, but now all sizes and formulas are on the salesfloor.

The last time I checked their site, there was also news about some ingredint changes, price increases, etc.

I know little about nutrition except what I have learned here. But it really sounds like the company is being very forthcoming about what is going on with it's products. Now, is the substitute they are offering really as good as the salmon alternative???
